Is only MBA degree enough to get a good job?

A resounding YES! MBA is a highly sought after course since last 20 years in India, it comes in variety of subtypes and flavors ! It is meant to be a professional job oriented programme. If you are in a deciding phase, choose your specialisation on basis of your interests, aptitude, personality traits, favorite subjects and aspirations. And choose you b-school if it has excelled in Curriculum: It must be based on industry consultations. Teaching pedagogy: Must be focused on practicals, experiential learning techniques are the best. Infrastructure: Must to support the highly demanding programme. Student diversity: To develop right cross culture sensibilities and international networking. Entrepreneurship projects: To proficiency on multitasking and managing profit centers. Industry interface: to have hands on knowledge of situations in real time. Internships and other projects: For purely practical corporate exposure and research orientation. Professional enhancement: To improve personality, interpersonal and comm skills, work ethics, professional etiquette, mannerisms and corporate culture. Community projects: To develop humane side as well as organizing skills. Extra curricular activities: To develop the responsibility skills, nuances or organizing and networking. Yes, MBA will open door for you, You will get more job opportunities after completing MBA. The degree programme in Masters in Business Administration is one of the most jobs provider educational degree course in the world. MBA in general is about choosing what you want to do in life. The branch you choose must be based on which part you will be suited for. I have a major classification based on certain characteristics (This may not be perfect but it pretty much holds good so feel free to agree to disagree 1. Finance - Good in numbers, interest in Statistics not too social, looking to do a Ph.D. introverts 2. Marketing - Good in communication, good in networking, extroverts and people who are quick on their feet 3. HR Management - Women (not a sexist statement) and people who are more empathetic and good in reading people 4. Actually Salary package depends on factors like specialisation, Institute, Company offering job, students academic performance and work experience etc. The placements are tremendous and you'll get plenty of opportunities to choose from but it is your duty to maintain a capable academic record so that you can fetch a job in the best company that visits the university for recruitment. The placement in MBA at LPU is about 95% and above. Almost all batches were placed in well-known companies. Average package offered for MBA students is 5.5 LPA. Some of the leading companies (like Practo, Think and Learn, Colgate, ICICI Prudential, Tech Mahindra, Axis bank, WNS and CISCO etc. ). Dear aspirant, No degree or professional qualification (s) is enough to get you a good job. I have seen people with impeccable educational qualifications being absolute failures while people with mediocre qualifications did extremely well in their careers. An MBA, unless done from a Tier-I or at least a Tier-II B-School, may not even get you an interview call if you are a fresher. Once you have a minimum of 5 years of work experience, organizations are more concerned about your work profile, the organisation you are working with and, of course, your achievements. Even students from premier institutions, such as the top IITs and IIMs, might be different when it comes to knowledge and competence. These are very important factors when it comes to placements and good jobs. Hope it helps.
