You can apply and intern as many times as you want but the placement office and professors help you in finding an internship during 3rd year which is a mandatory one. Microsoft and Google have Student Partner and Student Embassador programs. These are the companies that are on campus for CS:
Amazon, ADP, CA Commvault, Capital IQ, Cisco, Dell, D. E. Shaw, Deloitte, GE, Honeywell, Oracle, Microsoft, Google, Syntel etc. Amazon, Google and D. E. Shaw hire 1 or 2 people.
