    Osmania University Hyderabad is a public state university,  recognised by the UGC and accredited with an “A+” Grade by the NAAC. It was ranked 36 in the 'University' category and 64 under the 'Overall' category by the NIRF 2023 Rankings. Furthermore, the QS World University Rankings 2025 has ranked OU University Hyd in the band of 1201-1400.
