    P. P. Savani University in Surat is not recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). However, P. P. Savani University is recognized by the University Grant Commission, which is responsible for maintaining the standards of higher education in India. The university is also recognized by various other bodies such as the All India Council for Technical Education, Bar Council of India, Pharmacy Council of India, Council of Architecture, and Indian Nursing Council.
