Is part-time Ph.D. in electronics and communication engineering available?

Many students aim for a Ph.D. but it takes time and a lot of effort. Ph.D. is the degree that someone pursues after completing his or her Masters in a particular field of study. A Self-researched Thesis paper or dissertation is to be submitted to the University authority during Ph.D. is the highest university degree that can be obtained in a field of study. Majority of students who take up academics as their career have the dream to pursue a Ph.D. After studying for many years and completing Bachelors & Masters, it becomes tough for a student to invest three to five more years to academic studies and research. Part-Time Ph.D. The programme which is offered by many universities & colleges in India helps those students who want to work on something else while getting a Ph.D. It merely means that an individual can pursue a Ph.D. according to his or her convenience and pace in a part-time Ph.D. programme. There are many rules & regulations need to be followed while taking on Part-Time Ph.D. programme. Different universities & colleges have various Sets of rules that you can find on the official websites of the universities & colleges. Few good universities from where you can do a part time Ph.D. are:- Amrita University, Coimbatore. Andhra University College of Law, Visakhapatnam. Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. Delhi Technological University, Delhi. Dr B. R Ambedkar University, Agra. Global Centre for Clinical Research. Lovely Professional University, Punjab. As an academician & a professional trainer when I was evaluating and analyzing the curriculum of multiple educational institution I found the complete concept of the engineering curriculum in LPU to be as per the call of the hour. LPU has a planned and a well structured curriculum of ECE in collaboration with Cadence, Texas Instruments, BOSCH, PEGA USA & Intel, and is designed in lieu with the industry needs. LPU's curriculum also imbibes rigorous training and internships along with live projects to make their scholars a ready fit for the industry. The efforts put in this direction makes all the students place-able and earns record placement each year. LPU is best in regards to curriculum, pedagogy, placements and industrial exposure. While I was comparing the curriculum and pedagogy of the institutions offering the option for Ph.D Electronics I found the curriculum of LPU very promising.

Yes Sujatha, LPU offers a part-time Ph.D. in ECE. Let me share details with you. Eligibility: You should have a minimum of 55% marks in your master's degree in a relevant subject. After that, you have to qualify for the LPUNEST exam if you have not qualified for a national level test such as GATE, UGC NET, CSIR, GPAT, etc. The entrance will have 70% weightage in selection. After that, you have to appear for an interview and qualify for the same and have 30% weightage for the final selection. You may avail of scholarships also on the basis of LPUNEST or National Level Test. There is a special scholarship for female students to pursue a full-time or part-time Ph.D. at LPU. The highlight of the program is the Flexi-Course Work option specially designed to accommodate professionals wherein a student can choose the best-suited option to complete the course work. Option 1 Classes on weekends (Saturday & Sunday only) Option 2 4 days course work every month (Preferably every second week: Thu-Sun) Option 3 15 days of coursework (In the month of April/May ) LPU researchers won a huge research grant worth 10.8 Million through the Indo Canadian Impact project from DBT, GOI. Being an LPU alumni I would like to say that LPU has very simple admission process when it comes to Ph.D. For admission to Ph.D. the criteria is 55% aggregates marks in your Masters and you have to qualify interview along with LPU NEST. Also LPU is the only university in India which gives multiple coursework options for Ph.D. (Part time) students like: 1.15-days course work (November/ December 2021) 2.4-days course work every month (September to December, 2021) 3. Classes on weekends (Saturday &amp; Sunday only August to November, 2021) Apart from that Full time Ph.D. students can get teaching assistantship they can earn while learn upto 15500/- LPU has the most advanced labs dedicated to research work Block 38 known as R &amp; D Department. Many labs are maintained by Cisco, Cadence. LPU also has Central Instrumentation Facility which is one of its kind. It has high end instruments and these instruments and facilities help the faculty members, research scholars and students to carry out globally competitive research in basic, applied and medical sciences. The Lab has many instruments like Powder X-ray diffractometer, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Density Meter, Viscometer, Probe Sonicator, Gas Chromatograph and Mass Spectrometer. I would suggest you to go for LPU if you are thinking of pursuing Ph.D. Because the flexibility options for coursework which LPU offers, you will not find the same in any university in India. Hello Sujatha, Firstly let me congratulate you for atleast thinking of going for Ph.D. It's indeed great to know this. There is nothing like part-time Ph.D. Once you register and selecting your research subject along with your guide, you have three to four years to complete this learning. It's normally not like a full-time course, one does research work as per own convenient timings.
