Is Periyar University admission open?

Periyar University has a dedicated sports department or complex. The university has a huge space for outdoor activities such as football, cricket, kho-kho, basketball courts (2000 sqm), badminton, etc. The university regularly organises the All-India South Zone Level Kabaddi, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, and Handball tournaments. Activities available to students encompass indoor sports such as chess, table tennis, Ludo, yoga, and many other worthwhile recreational choices. Additionally, it features a separate gymnasium equipped with professional-grade gym equipment. 

Periyar University library is operational throughout the week from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays and 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on weekends. 

Periyar University has all the library facilities to meet the students' academic and research needs. The central library is a cornerstone of the academic infrastructure of Periyar University. The library operates on an open-access system, serving postgraduate students, M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars, and faculty members of the university. The library offers comfortable reading rooms and dedicated study spaces to its students. The university's library has different sections, such as the Reference Section, Textbook Section, Theses & Dissertations, etc. 

Students abiding at Periyar University hostels are certainly at an advantage when it comes to hostel facilities. The foundations for the Adhiyaman Men's Hostel and Periyar Maniyammai Women's Hostel were laid in 2007. The hostels are secured by the wardens as well as deputy wardens and mess facility is available to the students. For girl students, a second hostel, the New Women's Hostel, has been completed in 2019.

Periyar University offers access to a vast variety of courses in diverse fields. Students who are interested in Management fields can pursue the MBA courses in distinct streams. All the programs at Periyar University are available in a vast range of specializations.
