Course content wise PGDBA is equal to MBA. HOwever PGDBA is a diploma and MBA is a Degree...As per UGC/AICTE rule only an affiliated university can provide degree therfore IIM's can only provide PGDBA which is a degree.

Dear Sandeep,
If the PGDBA is of Two Years (Full-time)/ Three Years Duration (Part-time) and duly approved by AICTE, then it is deemed to be equivalent to an MBA.
