The PGDM programs offered by management institutes recognized by AIU or Association of Indian Universities become equivalent to MBA. But there are some key differences between the two in terms of teaching & learning experience. Since, PGDM is a dynamic course, hence, its curriculum or syllabus keeps

In terms of curriculum and industry acceptance it is equivalent but if u r opting for PhD or want to do job outside India, mba degree or a pgdm approved by Association of Indian universities ( AIU) is desirable for better opportunities. Hi Rahul, yes it's similar to PGDM...the only difference is that MBA offer by those colleges which affiliated to any university...where PGDM doesn't..it's approved by AICTE...PGDM is better than MBA...where you can learn practically more, industrial visit are in good number...
