Is PGDM valuable when compared to MBA?

TSM MBA programme is one of the oldest in this part of the country, is affiliated to the Madurai Kamaraj University. TSM MBA is approved by AICTE & accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE. TSM PGDM programme is approved by AICTE and equivalence with MBA, certified by AIU (Association of Indian Universities). Needless to state, the PGDM programme enjoys the same, if not greater, acceptance by industry and academia alike as the traditional MBA programme. Certain distinguishing features of the PGDM programme are: 1. PGDM offers more flexibility in curriculum design and autonomy than MBA. 2. Larger number of core and elective courses. Focus on development of soft and communication skills. 3. Three month summer internship to ensure better employability [2 months for MBA] . 4. Higher Usage of Harvard Business School Cases. 5. Outbound leadership and team building programme which costs approximately Rs.15000 per student is free exclusively for PGDM. 6. Capstone Strategy Simulation Workshop.
