    No, the Postgraduate Diploma in the Teaching of English (PGDTE) is not equivalent to a M.A. in Education. A Postgraduate Diploma in the Teaching of English is a Diploma programme to become a lecturer in the English discipline. The course duration is generally one year, and it is a postgraduate level Diploma course after graduation. This programme is mainly designed for students who want to make their career in English teaching.
