Yes, it is. Being studied from LPU I would like to say that LPU has very simple admission process when it comes to Ph.D. For admission to Ph.D. the criteria is 55% aggregates marks in your Masters and you have to qualify interview along with LPU NEST. Also LPU is the only university in India which gives multiple coursework options for Ph.D. (Part time) students. 1. 15 days course work (Dec) 2. 4 Days classes every month ( generally Thu-Sun) 3. Weekend classes (Sat-Sun) LPU has the most advanced labs dedicated to research work. Many labs are maintained by Cisco, Cadence. LPU also has Central Instrumentation Facility which is one of its kind. It has high end instruments and these instruments and facilities help the faculty members, research scholars and students to carry out globally competitive research in basic, applied and medical sciences. The Lab has many instruments like Powder X-ray diffractometer, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Density Meter, Viscometer, Probe Sonicator, Gas Chromatograph and Mass Spectrometer and much more. Both Full Time & Part time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part Time programme, applicants are required to submit NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for Ph.D. programme. Eligibility for Ph.D. programme is as follows, - Masters degree in a relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate; 1)LPUNEST + Interview 2)NET + Interview 3)M.Phil (Regular) + Interview Duration of Ph.D. programme will be Minimum 3 Years & Maximum 6 Years (2 Years relaxation is also there for the female students). LPU is best place to do Ph.D, as it provide excellent teachers, excellent research facilities with Industry/ Societal based research. Besides this, based on student caliber he/she can get a 90% scholarship (full-time scholar) or 70% scholarship (part-time scholar).

Yes, in LPU Ph.D. programme is available. Many students enrolled in the Ph.D. programme are native and non-native. Ph.D. is the most important degree in the world. Ph.D. research will help to increase your abilities to understand and solve problems, and also, boost confidence. Students will become better communicators and gain skills that may lead to a better jobs. ELIGIBILITY: Candidates will appear for the entrance examination LPU NEST. Ph.D. (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) then the student is eligible to take admissions. There are two types of Ph.D. programmes:Full-Time: In this, the candidate will do classes on a regular basis but get a scholarship maximum of 90%Part-Time: In this, the candidate will do classes on the weekends but get a scholarship of only 30%.
