Polymer science and engineering is not a core branch. It is a branch which is incorporated from chemical engineering, material science and basic courses. It is neither a core nor a simple branch. It is a specialized course.

No, polymer science and technology is not the core branch. It is a derived branch of chemical engineering and material engineering. There are only 3 core branches namely ME, CV and EE.
