Is polymer science and technology a core branch or simple branch?

    Polymer science and engineering is not a core branch. It is a branch which is incorporated from chemical engineering, material science and basic courses. It is coordinated by chemical engineering department of IIT Roorkee. Most of the course structure are similar to chemical engineering. There are Common courses from mathematics department, electrical department, mechanical, humanity department and department of management study. However you can get a project easily in chemistry, polymer, chemical, metallurgy department as many proofs are working in this field.

    No, polymer science and technology is not the core branch. It is a derived branch of chemical engineering and material engineering. There are only 3 core branches namely ME, CV and EE.
