Is post graduation Diploma in business administration equal to MBA?

Hi,
The main difference between MBA and PGDM is that MBA is a degree and is offered by universities, whereas, PGDM is a post-graduate diploma offered by AICTE approved institutes.

I am a B.Com graduate and was planning to do PGDM in finance. Doing M.Com in accounts with PGDM in Finance is a good idea.
