    Yes, Ranchi University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with Grade 'B+'. On July 12, 1960, Ranchi University was established as a stand-alone university and separated from the former Bihar University. The university offers degrees in undergraduate, post-graduate, M.Phil., and doctorate programs in various fields like medical, nursing, engineering, liberal arts, etc.
