    Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, also known as RGPV is a government owned college. UIT-RGPV is one of the premier engineering institutions in Central India. The Institution was established in the year 1986, by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, as the Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal. RGPV is recognised by the UGC and is accredited with an 'A' grade by the NAAC. It is also known as the State Technological University of Madhya Pradesh.     Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya is a government college. RGPV was established in 1988 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. RGPV Bhopal is recognised by UGC and accredited with an A grade by NAAC. RGPV offers over 50 courses at the Diploma, UG, PG and PhD levels in various streams, such as Management, Science, Engineering and Pharmacy. The courses are offered under 8 departments at the university. Out of all the courses, the University is popularly known for BTech, MBA, BDes and Diploma programmes.
