Although SFSU offers a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, it may not be as well known for this programme compared to other colleges that specialize more in engineering fields.However, SFSU's civil engineering programme is accredited by the ABET Commission on Technical Accreditation, a quality mark that ensures that the programme meets certain educational standards. The programme covers some civil engineering topics, including structural analysis, transportation engineering, and environmental engineering.
