Students can also call the University Police Department at times of emergency. San Jose State University alerts the students at the university regarding any campus emergency through texts, audio, and mails. Furthermore, the university also encourages the students to raise their voice against any discriminatory and sex based misconduct that they experience by filing a report. Besides ensuring the campus safety, the university also emphasizes on the healthcare of the students and offers them with counseling and psychological services if the students are struggling from stress, depression, anxiety, or require any other assistance.</p>
