    Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is a government institute fully funded by the Government.

    SLIET Longowal was established by the Ministry of Human resorces and Development, Government of India in the year 1989.

    The institute enjoys its status today in par with NITs, Central Universities, IIMs, and other CFTIs.

    The Institute issues its own certificates, diplomas, undergraduates and post graduates which are recognised by AICTE.

Yes, SLIET Punjab provides courses that the students are largely interested in. At the undergraduate level, the deemed to be university offers a four-year B.E. course. At the postgraduate level, the deemed-to-be university offers two-year M.Tech courses in eight specialisations, namely Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Food Engineering and Technology, Mechanical Welding and Sheet Metal Engineering, and others.
