    Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is a government institute fully funded by the Government.

    SLIET Longowal was established by the Ministry of Human resorces and Development, Government of India in the year 1989.

    The institute enjoys its status today in par with NITs, Central Universities, IIMs, and other CFTIs.

    The Institute issues its own certificates, diplomas, undergraduates and post graduates which are recognised by AICTE.
