In 2021, the university underwent a renaming process and became known as Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU). Alongside this change, the School of Management also underwent a name alteration and became the "School of Management (SoM)". In the NIRF B-School Rankings - 2022 (Ministry of Education, Govt. of India), Pandit Deendayal Energy University's School of Management achieved a ranking of 89 among the top 100 out of 751 B-Schools.
