The School of Science in CMR University is regarded by and large as a Tier Two university. Albeit it provides a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Life Sciences, it is ranked below Tier 1 categories in national benchmark tests. But, the school is now known for its offering, quality education, faculty, and research, which put a positive impacts in the society. However, it is Tier 2 and it consists of some potential occupation openings for students with Science backgrounds.

CMR University in itself is a Tier 2 Institution. Tier 1 Institutions involves IIMs ( Indian Institute of Management), IITs ( INdian Institute of Technologies). But being a Tier 2 Institution the reseach & engangement facilities are much more than a normal Tier 2 college. It is famous for academic courses and industry-focused education and possesses several faculty members like computer science, biotechnology and life science. This makes this institutions a producer of Industry Ready Candidates.

School of Science Studies CMR University is Tier 2 colleges. Tier 1 colleges includes IIM's (Indian Institutes of Management) for courses like MBA, so, CMR University does'nt come under Tier 1 it is Tier 2 college which provide more courses like MBA and etc. While CMR university is top college in Banglore for BCA and other courses with good educational facilities.
