    Shivaji College, University of Delhi, is a government institute. It is a constituent college of the University of Delhi, which is a central government university. The college was established in 1961 in New Delhi by the Hon'ble Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh to provide education in what was a largely rural area. The college is accredited with grade 'A' by NAAC and is ranked as one of the top 10 Science colleges of the University of Delhi. It offers degrees in various subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
