Hi,
As per the official website of Sikkim Manipal University- Distance Education it is recognised by:
- University Grants Commission(UGC)
- Member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

Dear Raull,
SMU is recognized by UGC and AICTE. It is a first Govt - Private Partnership University in India. Govt of Sikkim and Manipal Education established it in 1995.
It was also fully recognized by DEC until DEC was functioning. DEC is dissolved now , that's why none of the Distance Learning
