Is Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology good for B.Tech?

<p><strong>SMIT, in my years, was a good experience. I have learnt a lot in this college.</strong></p><p><strong>Placements:&nbsp;</strong>In the college there is100% placement in CSE Branch. Top recruiting companies are Dell, Microsoft, Cognizant, Providence, Ericson, Nomura Fintech, etc. Top roles offered are in software development, software testing, HR, UI/UX designer, etc. The highest package offered is of INR 25 LPA and the lowest package is of INR 4 LPA. 95% of the students got internships as well.</p>

<p>The college is surrounded by nature, with hills all around and a river running through it, making the view from campus spectacular. It is indeed delightful and enjoyable to stay there.</p><p>The course subject is excellent, and the lecturers are helpful. It covers everything from the fundamentals to the most recent trends that a software engineer should be aware of. While working on a major project in a company, I noticed that I was familiar with the terminologies and technologies being utilized because I had studied them in college.</p><p>SMIT gives good exposure to the latest technology, and more significantly, the curriculum is dynamic and seeks to instill upcoming market trends to make students industry-ready. The college also encourages students to participate in online learning by offering free Coursera courses to help us improve our skill set based on our personal interests. They also offer Pre-Placement Training, which covers topics ranging from quantitative to qualitative aptitude and a variety of other topics that are vital during placements.</p><p>There is a Central Library as well as Departmental Libraries, both of which include an excellent collection of all the books required for the course as well as literature to satisfy your particular interests.</p><p>The hostel lifestyle is convenient: rooms with adjoining bathrooms, cleaning twice a week, and numerous other benefits.</p><p>Aside from academics, one could participate in extracurricular activities. There are clubs and groups for practically any activity or interest imaginable. Keeping yourself busy is really easy here!</p>
