If you look at the world rankings, SMU gets placed quite low on the tables, or finds no mention on others.
Talking about the Americas, people hardly know about SMU there. SMU is synonymous to Southern Methodist University. Therefore, SMU is not as famous there.
However, in Asia, SMU has a great reputation. Students from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand etc. attend SMU in large numbers. In Sinagpore, from what I’ve heard, SMU graduates are greatly valued. Their job prospects are bery bright. Students do get placed in the top-notch companies.
