    SIU has been ranked 31st in the world and 1st in India for Employer Reputation. The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2024 has ranked the University in the 351-400 band in Asia and 22nd in India.The university is a pioneer in liberal arts education and has a strong School for Liberal Arts with departments in languages, literature, music, philosophy, Indology, art, dance, theatre, education, anthropology, political science, international relations, film studies, peace and conflict studies, mathematics, it is a good university for management and various professional courses.
