Admission to the flagship BTech course at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST) is based on an entrance exam, SRMJEEE. However, candidates with a valid JEE Main score are exempt from taking SRMJEEE and are directly admitted to the BTech program. In addition to the entrance exam, SRMIST offers direct admission and scholarships to exceptional students, including first rank students of all central and state boards in India, top 10,000 rankers in IIT JEE, top rankers in each district of Tamil Nadu, and outstanding sports persons at the national and international levels.
