Is SSC CGL a national level exam?

The Commission will release the SSC CGL Tier 1 Answer Key after the conclusion of 5 to 10 days of an examination. The Tier 1 exam is expected to be conducted in May-June 2026. Candidates will be able to download their provisional answer key by visiting at ssc.gov.in or through a direct link provided

Based on the past trends, generally SSC CGL Tier 1 good score is considered as 150+ and the target should be around 165 to 170+ for General category. For OBC or EWS 140 to 150 and target can range up to 160 to 165+.

The application link for the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will be activated at ssc.gov.in. It is expected to be released in March 2026. Candidates will get around 20 days time to fill the SSC CGL application form.

The SSC CGL Tier 1 2026 exam is expected to be conducted in May or June 2026 across the various centres in the country. The official notification is awaited. It is expected that the SSC CGL 2026 notification will be released in March 2026. 

After the declaration of the SSC CGL Result for Tier 2 exam, candidates will undergo the Document Verification, mandatory data Entry Speed Test or typing test and then the final selections will be based on the merit and post preference.
