Is starting in final year for cat preparation Late or the Right time? is 8 months enough for complete preparation or how much time is reqd?

I am final year b.tech student of c.s.e i have not given any cat attempt till now 10th - 87% 12th- 76% b.tech - 66%(aggregrate till third year)
