    Dear Rohit,
    Swimming is not an essential requirement for pursuing Marine engineering. The basic eligibility for pursuing a Bachelors in marine engineering is 10+2 examination with science subject such as Physics, maths and chemistry. For IITs, It is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E). The duration for this course is 4 years.
    Some of the specialised fields are:
    Maritime Commerce
    Marine Refrigeration
    Command And Control System
    Weaponry And Weapon Systems
    Navigation Systems And Equipment
    Marine Renewable Energy Research
