Is taking a drop after 12th for competitive exams a good decision or does it create problems in the future?

Devoting one full year for entrance exam preparation has its own merits and demerits. Dropping a year means that you will get sufficient amount of time to prepare for entrance exams. It will allow you take mock up tests and help to score good ranking in entrance examination.
