According to the most recent update, the Tamil language is required for TNPSC "Group 4" exams. The TNPSC Group 2 2 2 4 paper currently consists of 200 questions. Out of these 200 questions, 100 are language questions in English and Tamil. The paper had two types: type one with English section questions and type two with Tamil section questions. You can attempt either of the language sections prior to the announcement by the Tamil Nadu government. Now, the Tamil language part is mandatory to qualify. As a result, in order to pass this exam from now on, the candidates need to have passing knowledge of the Tamil language.
