Is Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad a good option for B.Tech in civil engineering?

Teerthanker Mahaveer University is a good university. At LPU it is an engineering programme that articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology through lab practice and projects to gain knowledge in areas like Structural, Environmental, Highway Engineering, Construction Management which are in sync with industry expectations. One needs an aggregate of 60 percent with PCM in class 12. There are professionally trained faculty at LPU who impart both theoretical and practical knowledge for the holistic development of the students. In addition to it, there is a dedicated department in LPU that looks into preparing students for placements. They train the students in verbal, analytical, and logical abilities. Outlook ranks LPU at number 9 in Outlook Care ranking 10th best university for Training and Placement in 2019 by Knowledge Review.

Apart from IIT, top colleges for civil engineering are National Institute of Technology, R. V. College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, College of Engineering Pune, UPES Dehradun, Lovely Professional University etc. Lovely Professional University is one of the best institutes for engineering in the state of Punjab. So if a degree in B.Tech (Civil engineering) is what you seek, I suggest that you do consider LPU. I have sound reasons to actually make this suggestion. Actually I did MBA from Lovely Professional University but I have one friend who has done B.Tech Civil Engineering From LPU. He told me B.Tech in civil engineering course involves so much more than theoretical know-how. In addition to classroom lectures, students here learn via hands-on experiences which include site visits, lab sessions and so on. PPTs, animations and similar technological techniques are a regular part of classroom teaching too. The course material provided here enables to practice civil engineering using up-to-date techniques, skills, and tools as a result of life-long learning ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. The course benefits the students by giving them an understanding of professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities. The Department aims to provide students with a technical foundation incorporated with the industrial need together with the breadth needed in the profession via advanced study or field training, or as a base for other pursuits. In order to get this develop we have timely workshops, and seminars. Also, LPU has one of the best educational infrastructures in the nation. Placement is good of B.Tech. But, you have got a good percentage. You can try many more universities in Dehradun or Chandigarh.

Hi Ayush, Sorry to say but TMU is just below average university. It has terrible records of placements and isn't doing well academically as well. You can surely choose to come out of Moradabad and take admission in better colleges with better placements. That's what I would suggest. All the best.
