Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is good career option and has niche market. Jobs are limited but very well paying. It is difficult and challenging to obtain Aircraft Maintenance license. Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) conducts examination and also issues Basic Maintenance Engineer's Certificate (BAMEC) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's (AW) Licence to those candidates who pass the applicable examinations and meet all other requirements. For detail refer to dgca.nic.in. There are lots of institute recognised by DGCA who can help you prepare for licence. Refer to dgca.nic.inf for details of Institutes
