Is the AME program equivalent to Mechanical Engineering?

Mechanical Engineering is about general Mechnical work but In our AME course we will be taught about Aircraft Mechanical work.

AME programme is for Aircraft Maintenance, so it is not euivalent to diploma in Mechanical Engineering but you can join B.E/B.Tech in any branch of study after completion of AME.
