Is the B.Sc in IT degree provided by NIIT, Bhubaneshwar (Kuvempu University) deemed valid?

I completed my B.Sc in IT in 2012. I presented my submitted my degree in the Kolkata municipal corporation for a job under rehabilitation scheme but the deputy personnel officer refused to accept the degree. I have also produced some proofs for the same.
