Is the BTech admission process based on entrance exam scores or Class 12 merit?

    Hey there! Universities often provide admission to their B.Tech. Programs according to their unique policies. In most cases, they might consider your 12th class marks and also u performance in the entrance test. But there are some good universities that only consider your marks in 12th board for granting admission to B.Tech. programs.

    I am lucky to be studying in one such university, namely Geeta University. Here you just need to have scored a minimum of 45% marks in your 12th board to gain admission in the BTech program. You don't need to give any entrance exam for admission.

    The BTech admission process is actually a mix of both the factors. Some colleges provide admission solely on the basis of entrance exam marks, while others admit students to the BTech courses by taking into consideration their performance in the Class 12 board exams. You may also come across a few colleges that give equal weightage to both the parameters.
