The A+ Certification still exists but it isn't really comparable to the CCNA. The A+ Certification is basically a simple/light introduction to the general topics of Computers
The CCNA focuses specifically on networking (routers, switches, cabling, TCP/IP, config, access control, etc.). The A+ Certification isn't as valuable anymore and at the most you can get a help desk type position.
The CCNA on the other hand is very respected and is stepping stone to take the CCNP (mid-level) and even CCIE (advanced). If you're thinking of going into networking or making your jump into IT I would highly recommend taking the CCNA and study as...more
