Dear Jasdeep, CSE is a programme which requires a lot of continuous working with industry to keep the curriculum updated, you never now when any technology will get obsolete! Industry interface in various forms is the key to curate this highly in-demand programme. B.Tech CSE at LPU is by far miles ahead of all others when we talk about placements. 12 centers of excellence set up by Industry leaders, innovation, design thinking and incubation labs, Cutting edge trainings line SAP and other MOOCs, Centre for professional enhancement, Diversity among students and faculty, industry focused curriculum, Industry interface, guest lectures, large number of internal and external competitions, events, co curricular activities etc. Enable the students to get the placements of their choice. Last year Microsoft recruited student at INR 42 lacs per annum. The backbone of course delivery is faculty, LPU has about 700 Ph.D. faculty which is carefully recruited so that the rigors of the programme can be delivered in letter and spirit. In the era of cut-throat competition, now-a-days every institution is floating CSE and consider it as flagship course and claims that the institute is providing best but the bets gets converted into the worst when it comes to application part. As an education consultant, I have seen many institutes offering CSE but CSE offered by LPU is far way ahead with any other institute in many parameters such as rankings, exposure and placements. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Several big brands of the industry have visited LPU campus during academic sessions. Students are also provided with on job trainings, industrial exposures inculcating in them modern management skills. LPU believes in delivering the quality, for same, it has hired faculty from the reputed institutes like IITs, NITs. The syllabus is vetted from the company officials of Cognozant, SAP, Microsoft etc. To provide updated curriculum. LPU has his own space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. The companies which have visited as of now are: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Hitachi Power, Videocon, L&T Technology Services, Ericsson, HCL etc. It is important to mention that last year Microsoft recruited student at INR 42 lacs per annum. Hi Computer Science is a branch which needs continuous endeavor by the student as well as the faculty as it is the demand of the market. For this you need a college of repute which would give you the best inputs for an all round development. Added to this, well-equipped labs and library. Exposure of the students to the world market and a wide platform for the student to deal with the world level activities is a must. In my opinion LPU B.Tech CSE is the best branch going right now for many reasons. LPU offers a complete package of quality teaching, intuitive learning aided with hands on practical training. It also offers good scholarship slabs based on various categories. It has also started the covid scholarship to aid education at such grim times. The updated labs and the expertise of the faculty have given good results that today LPU is a name to reckon. If the talk is about placements, again LPU has been awarded the National Employ-ability 2020 award for best placements as the top MNCs have recruited the students of LPU for many enviable positions. I cant tell you about Chandigarh University as I don't have any idea about this University. My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely Professional University and he got placed in Amazon with decent package. He was satisfied with academics, extra activities, placements etc. Few points told by my brother who did his studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision: LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every one of the eligible students to secure good placement. Placements and Internships Opportunities offered by the University placement department. LPU has best lab facilities with dedicated lab for each subject. Each stream has dedicated laboratory division with fully functional world class equipments, and advanced research laboratories. The amount of exposure he has received, I am sure None of the engineering graduates anywhere else have received. He has participated in 3-4 international competitions and can handle a crowd of 2000 on stage. This is all because Vertos (students of LPU) are trained from day 1 on voluntary basis for all this. Starting from Learning new languages or Guitar, building Cars, debates and essay writing, sports, our University has everything which a student wants to learn. There are certain parameters such as placements, infrastructure, faculty level, environment, growth etc. To be considered while selection of institute for pursuing education. My cousin sister done her B.Tech in CSE from here and she got placed in Cognizant with top package. Other friends of her also placed in other companies such as Capgemini, Tech. Mahindra, BOSCH, Amazon, SAP, Texas Instruments, Cadence, Sandisk, Moserbear. As per my experience in LPU. Lovely professional University is best place for B.Tech CSE. LPU is Great in teaching, placements, infrastructure or other facilities. It provides specialisation also in Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, etc. With a great curriculum which is benchmarked with foreign universities. Placements are also good. CSE students got placement in Amazon with a package of 28 LPA. As per the last year record of LPU, the average packages in CSE are from 4 to 10 LPA.

Hello, I have done my Engineering from Lovely Professional University and I am a proud alumnus of LPU. I can not say anything about CU. Starting with my experience from the first year onwards, where we asked to join some Placement. Enhancement Classes, that day I wondering why there is a need of same at this early stage and then the day I was sitting in my placement drive, I recall all those essential points which were taught to me that day and those eventually helped me in securing my seat in an interview. One more point I would like to share that it is not just calling the company to the campus, but preparing the students up to such level that they can crack any interview is equally important. So, I have observed, LPU faculty members, put in a lot of efforts to get the students placed. So, preparing the students to such level is more important and putting up efforts for that is more important and that what LPU always takes care of. University has separate placement enhancement department, which focuses on overall development of students. University keeps on conducting, guest lectures, seminars, live projects, hands on training, sharing views and experiences by the experts and many more events which helps the students to broaden their thoughts and cope with the corporate world. In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple packages as well. I was one of them, I remember my day I am hopping around the campus and was looking around which option to choose, Finally I landed up choosing HCL, with which I am currently working as well since last 4 years and have received many promotions and hikes. All I dedicate that to my faculty members and mentors at LPU. They helped me in choosing the right decision at that time as well. Students are trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not. Talking about my another life experience where we were asked to be a part of some live project in my second year and I was wondering, whether I am capable enough to be a part of such grand project from an MNC, but when eventually I started working, I realized I can do that and I had that much knowledge to be cope up with such projects. Well, there are universities like lovely professional university which is better in all aspects like ranking, accreditation, industry experience, well qualified teachers, curriculum as per the latest market requirements, unbeatable placement records, cultural diversity, guest lectures and so on. The students have been prepared so, that while completion of their degree they are market ready. Likewise you would like to apply for Computer Science and engineering course, so I would like to share that just in the previous year I. e. 2019, a student has grabbed a package of 42 lac from Microsoft.
