Educational and Research Institute is a deemed-to-be-university and graded as an autonomous body by the University Grants Commission and the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD), Government of India. The institute is also accredited by NAAC. Hence, all the degrees offered by Dr M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute are valid.
