CPL is a professional training program. With proper guidance and direction you can complete this within a very short duration of just 6 months also. The DGCA have directives which clearly illustrate that after class 10th you may start flying and acquire at least PPL. Further after class 12 you may continue till you acquire CPL.
I have known people who have completed their CPL in just 6 months and some others who have taken 3 years.
You need to clear CPL exams and complete 200 hours of flying in prescribed format. Once done with these requirements you can get your CPL issued in just one months' time.
