IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. Programs) and GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Exam are national-level entrance exams for post-graduate programs at IITs, NITs, and IISc Bangalore. IIT JAM is a common entrance test for admissions in Master's courses such as M.Sc. Integrated Ph.D. Joint M.Sc-PhD and M.Sc-PhD Dual Degree whereas the GATE is a national-level exam that provides admissions to the master of technology programs such as M.E. /M.Tech and Ph.D. courses. The IIT JAM Exam covers 7 subjects, whereas the GATE Exam covers 29. I hope this will help you.
