Is the Indian air force a good employer? What perks do they offer to their professionals?

Presently it's only the uniformed personnel of armed forces of which Indian Air Force is a part, gets a pension after retirement till death and spouse then continue to get it until her death. Another perk that one gets is subsidized housing in the place of posting. Of course sometimes one stays in temp accommodation but that is only for few days or so. While in IAF one can learn and take part in different adventure sports at government cost, like diving, paragliding, mountaineering, etc. In addition, along with postings to different places, one can learn about India. The defense forces are one of the best Central government services that one can aspire to join. If you are lucky enough to be selected for an IAF, just go for it. It will not only give you a chance to become a pilot and soar in the skies like a bird at NO COST to you, but also to serve your country as a part of one of the noblest professions remaining.

Hello, Indian Air Force is indeed the best employer in the country. Here one gets to learn flying skills not only at zero cost but getting paid for it also. Presently it's only the uniformed personnel of armed forces of which Indian Air Force is a part, gets a pension after retirement till death and spouse then continue to get it until her death. Another perk that one gets is subsidized housing in the place of posting. Of course sometimes one stays in temp accommodation but that is only for few days or so.While in IAF one can learn and take part in different adventure sports at government cost, like diving, paragliding, mountaineering, etc.In addition, along with postings to different places, one can learn about India. Everybody is not only entitled to leave but compulsorily take this leave. But the most important and precious thing is a work-life balance. One gets enough money by way of pay and also enough time to spend that money with one's family. I feel this is the biggest perk that one can think of.

Becoming a pilot in India is a costly affair. But, becoming a pilot through the Airforce route is absolutely free of cost. But, do not get fooled by that. Becoming an Air Force pilot is one of the toughest journeys one could go through. It would drain you not only physically, but also emotionally. Apart from this, being an Air Force pilot for India is a very dignified job and lets one roam around with their chins up with pride. Being in the Air Force would allow you to fly large transport aircrafts to supersonic fighter jets depending on the flying branch you are associated with. As it is a Government job, the Indian government. Pays for everything including your training to your accommodation for wherever you are stationed. An Air Force pilot gets to flaunt a respectable Uniform showing all the medals he has earned. Being mentally and physically fit all the time also can be counted as a perk as the Air Force way of life will also force you into fitness. An Airforce Pilot would be seeing and staying in almost every part of India while serving for the Armed Forces as they are restationed every two years. There are also a lot of other added benefits like discounted food, liquor and vehicles from the army canteens, LTC concession in Air Travel, free travel in Indian Railway in second or first AC etc. An Air force employee may also get to visit foreign countries on official duty or if deployed in times of emergency or during international training drills. Besides, always having a commanding and respectable job, the Air Force family would always treat you with dignity and stand by your side no matter what ups and downs you go through.

Hello, Indian Air Force is indeed an excellent place for job. Every year, there are larger number of candidates who get the opportunity to get IAF seat. You need to give NDA exam after class 12th with PCM. There are large numbers of perks and benefits that the Indian Air Force fighters enjoys, (#) The best thing is the pension policy. The employee will continue to get the pension after lifetime followed by his spouse and daughter. (#) Entire family can enjoys free healthcare facilities. (#) large numbers of leaves. You will get 60 days of paid leaves and 30 days of casual leaves in a year. (#) You will get the maternity (or paternity) leaves.
