Is the information/Answers received under RTI Act-2005 may be false? If yes, is there any Punish for this wrong information?

Hi KC Tripathi, As per my understanding if the information offered under the RTI do not surface on the grounds for refusal to supply information, and yet are proved to be false. The penalty lies in the case of 'Where any competent authority, without any reasonable cause fails to supply information
