Is the International Engineering Programme from Thapar worth it?

Fundamentally, it's a course where the degree is awarded by a university in another country with attendant benefits for the student. Hello Akshita, International Engineering Programmes are offered not only by Thapar but by many more Institutions in India nowadays. It, of course, involves heavy expenditure but then it's better than spending all four years abroad. If you are intending to settle abroad then the course is definitely good.

<p>Hi, Trinity and Thapar University have developed a credit transfer International Engineering Programme (IEP) which enables students admitted to undergraduate engineering programmes at Thapar University (TU) the opportunity to study at Trinity. Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering. Students are now curious to know about the International Engineering programme and what facilities, opportunities does it offer. Here are the pros &amp; Cons. Pros : 1) You will be doing the last the two years of graduation at Trinity college Dublin (TCD). 2) You will be getting a degree from TCD which is quite valuable and may fetch you a high salary job. 3) You will get to stay in Ireland under student visa, if you are smart enough you may pursue M. S from a good college outside India. Cons : 1) Too much expensive around 30 Lacs, which you may or may not able to afford. 2) Trinity college is not famous for engineering courses rather it is known for psychological courses. 3) Trinity doesn't have Electrical and Instrumentation engineering so if you are opting for both of these branches at Thapar University you can't opt them at TCD. 4) If you initially opt for IEP at Thapar and you don't get a CGPA greater than 8.5 than you can't go to TCD. 5) Student who opt for IEP, have to pay extra for first two years at Thapar. 6) Trinity doesn't have a good rank all over the world under engineering colleges. 7) Many student opted for IEP are doing part time job at Ireland.</p>

Hello Akshita, International Engineering Programmes are offered not only by Thapar but by many more Institutions in India now a days. Fundamentally it's a course where degree is awarded by university in another country with attendant benefits for the student.
