Distance learning course isn't enough to practice law in India. As per the Bar Council of Indias guidelines, one need to have a law degree to practice law in India. One of the prerequisite to practice in any state is to have a regular course law degree. Law course pursued through a distance learning is only for knowledge sake. Through distance learning, one can understand law, but cannot practice. Such courses are offered for people interested in understanding law.
