OET Exam difficulty level depends on your English proficiency language and familiarity with medical terminology. If your English is not close to educated native speaker, OET exam is hard for you.

Another factor to decide exam difficutly level is the amount of time and effort you put into studying and practicing for the Occupational English Test

OET stands for Occupational English Test, which is an examination for the healthcare professional who are willing to continue their practice in a native English Speaking region.

Talking about the difficulty level, it is not harder than other English speaking examinations like IELTS. However, the examination requires a proper knowledge and deep understanding of the language. The candidate willing to appear in this examination must be aware that the text and vocabulary in this examination will be based on their occupation i.e. healthcare.

  • Whether a test is hard or easy is very subjective. However, rest assured, the OET test has been created to test your understanding of the English language in a healthcare setting and not to make you miserable. The tests are created keeping in mind the healthcare professional and a good preparation plan would yield positive results. Please note that those who have attempted this test earlier feel that its preparation and study material relate to the latest healthcare trends and the same helps one prepare very well for the exam. Ultimately everything depends on the applicant's preparation for the exam and practice.

Yes, there are several countries like Australia, UK, and Canada that accept the OET score for visa and immigration. Especially for healthcare roles in their country.

Popular nations include New Zealand, Ireland, the UAE, and the USA, where your score on the OET exam is accepted. Scores typically required are Grade B (350+) in all sections for most visa and licensing bodies

Unfortunately, if your internet connection disconnects, the exam platform will attempt to reconnect.

If it connects instantly, then no issues. If it extends, then your test will be terminated immediately. It means you may have to rebook and pay the fee again.

So, make sure you use reliable broadband, and backup plans are essential for OET at Home.
