Is the online MBA degree deemed valid by recruiters?

Hi, If you are looking for the career growth but don’t have the time or money for classroom study, then an online MBA might be the right choice. Applied learning gives you an opportunity to make a business impact today, and to share the real-world learning with classrooms peers. There’s no urgency to find another job. You’re working, you’ve got a good salary package so all’s good. You can focus and enjoy the MBA learning experience. Many of the services you get on-campus (e.g. career counseling, library access) are available online. If you have a blended program, a combination of on-campus and online learning, as they do at IE B-school, you can have meetings with career counselors and participate in employer networking events on campus. The virtual campus is very real. Online MBA classes and workgroups emulate the way real global business projects are undertaken. New, fast-paced, global businesses are moving to virtual team-work, hot-desks, flexible work, and online communities to bridge departments or functions across global offices. The business world and online MBA is about effective asynchronous working (self-paced) and synchronous (real-time) engagement. This depends on what your aspirations are from the Online MBA Degree experience. The assets of a top, full-time in-person MBA are unique, such as relationship-building and intensive classroom discourse, and cant be replaced by online study. However, many of the hard skills and managerial philosophy that you would gain in a full-time MBA will also be taught in an online MBA. Whether the online degree would add value for you with employers would depend on what kinds of employers you're targeting; those who hire alumni from top MBA programs would probably not be moved by an online degree, but other employers will see your MBA as verification of a certain elite skill-set. Most of the recruiters prefer a regular MBA graduate but in some case the performance level in the interview will be considered to get placed. They assess the quality of you from the presentation you deliver to the recruiters. Bear in mind that Online MBA never equals Regular MBA.
