The Technical University of Munich is almost free for international students as it does not charge tuition fees for most of its courses. According to the law in Germany, as specified by TUM itself, there is no tuition fee. However, students must manage their additional expenses in order to study at TUM. Also, note that some of the executive master’s programs charge additional fees. The TUM fees vary between INR 0 to INR 22.7 L for first-year study.

At TUM, the tuition fees are charged from international students belonging to third countries who newly enroll ina degree programme starting in the Winter Semester 2024/ 25. As specified by TUM itself, there is no tuition fee according to the law in Germany. However, in order to study at TUM, you have to pay the student union fee and a solidarity contribution for the semester ticket.
