<p>The University of Limerick, in Irishi - Ollscoil Luimnigh, is a <strong>public research university in Limerick</strong>, Ireland. The university was established in <strong>1972 as the National Instittute for Higher Education</strong>, Limerick. It was the <strong>first university established in Irealnd post-Irishi independence </strong>in 1922. It became a full-fledge university in 1989 with the passage of the <strong>University of Limerick Act 1989 </strong>in Irishi parliament.&nbsp;</p>
