According to student reviews over an unofficial source, the following are the reasons to study at the University of Montreal:
- One of the main research universities in Canada. Furthermore, it is one of the best ranked universities in Canada and one of the best among the French speaking universities
- The university produces the most competent graduates to come out of any university in Canada as lot of its graduates are bilingual (English and French)
